Managing your swap listings and offers.

Once you’ve started listing swaps or responding to swaps from other Beanies, you’ll want to get familiar with the messages panel. You can get to that from the little message icon at the top right of the page.

Here, you’ll be able to see who has messaged you in regards to a swap or swap offer.

You’ll also be able to manage the status of your swaps, so you can close it off, relist it (a swap listing expires automatically after 7 days) or put it in your archive folder.

You can click into an offer or response and send messages to complete or decline the swap.

Once you have accepted a swap and completed it (nice work!), if it was your own swap listing, make sure you mark that message thread as complete-  for your reference and also for the Magic Beans team to be able to lodge this. In future we want to be able to share data with you on the amazing collective impact that your community makes through swaps and this will help us to do so.(We will never share your personal information with any 3rd parties though).

Archiving a swap simply hides it from your profile, so that other members can’t see your closed/expired listings. Only do this if you really need to- it is great trust-building for people to see your profile and activity. Your massages within swaps will never be publicly visible- they are only between you and the person you are swapping with.
